Courtney Johnson (Kuehn) is an artist based in Nebraska. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2023 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in studio art at Concordia University, Nebraska in 2019.
Courtney’s work is an extension of herself and what she is feeling. Most of her drawings are graphite on paper, and she uses her body and self image as her content. Channeling what is going on in her mind into her art helps her come to terms with what she is feeling and how to cope with those feelings. She hopes her art can help others the way it helps her; by confronting the troubles and pain we all face to, therefore, overcome them.
